Sage 100 ERP Software – Tips for Running on Apple Mac

Question:  Mike, we own Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage MAS90) and we also own an Apple Mac.  We would like to be able to connect the MAC to the Sage 100 ERP program on the Server.  How do we do this?

Answer:  Apple Mac is not supported by Sage, however, it is possible.  As ERP Consultants we have come across a way you can run Windows-based programs like Sage 100 ERP on an Apple Mac.

Here’s a way you can run windows on a Mac.  You can check out a virtual machine software application such as Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac or VMware Fusion 5 which will allow you to install Windows on the Mac.  Now you can have the best of both worlds on one machine. You would have to purchase for the virtual machine software which is around $80 and also purchase an additional full version of Windows operating system. Each Mac computer  would need its own copy of both.
